WARDOGS Weapons List: How Many Guns Are Confirmed

The Count Nobody Agrees On

If you search for a WARDOGS weapon list you will find three different totals, all published within two weeks of each other:

35 weaponsGameWatcher, “Full Weapons List w/ Stats”Aug 28, 2026

We are not going to pick one. The honest position before Early Access opens on September 10, 2026 is that the shipping number is not publicly confirmed by BULKHEAD in writing, the beta build did not expose every unlock to every player, and counting conventions differ — whether bows, launchers and sidearms are counted as “weapons” changes the total on its own.

For context on the 37 figure: the Reddit post making that claim compared it to Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launching with 30 weapons and Battlefield 2042 with 22, and also stated 21 vehicles against BF6’s 16, with a ~50 GB install. Those comparisons are community claims, not BULKHEAD statements.

Confirmed Categories

The category breakdown is consistent across sources and matches the class-progression design:

  • Assault rifles — Assault track
  • SMGs — Medic track
  • LMGs and shotguns — Support track
  • Marksman rifles (DMRs) and sniper rifles — Recon track
  • Bows — Recon track, unlocked late
  • Sidearms (pistols) — War Dog account level
  • Launchers — Support track

That mapping matters more than the raw count: a weapon’s category tells you which progression track it feeds, and therefore what you should be shooting if you want a specific unlock. See progression for the full table.

Weapons BULKHEAD Has Named

The Supporter Edition announcement (Aug 11, 2026) is the one official document that names specific guns, because the pack includes faction-branded camos for them:

  • A-91 — VALKYRA branded (Russian bullpup)
  • Bushmaster — LONESTAR branded
  • KH-2002 — MANTICORE branded (Iranian bullpup)
  • Plus a Littlebird helicopter “Taxi” camo, three starter-weapon camos, and two bobbleheads

Community lists from beta footage add names including the T-21, Galil, M4, FAL, AK-74, AMP-9, MP5, PP-19 Vityaz, Super-45, M500 and MP43, along with the SVD and PKM. Those come from players reading the in-game vendor during the closed beta, not from an official list.

Ammo Matters More Than the Gun

Three ammo types apply across most weapons, and the choice swings damage more than a one-tier difference between rifles does:

  • FMJ — even damage to flesh and armour
  • HP / flesh rounds — more damage to unarmoured targets, weak into armour
  • AP — less damage to flesh, more to armour and vehicles

Independent beta testing ranked them AP > FMJ > flesh rounds for general use against armoured opponents, largely because armour is common and AP is not widely unlocked in a season’s opening days. The full breakdown is on the ammo tier list.

What We Will Do at Launch

This page gets rebuilt from the live vendor once Early Access opens on September 10, 2026, with a per-weapon table listing category, progression track and unlock cost — the three things a player actually needs before buying. Until then, everything above is attributed to whoever said it.
